Kossher Group to set up a Food processing plant and generate employment for the tribal population of Chhattisgarh

Earlier this year, Kossher Group confirmed its plans of setting up a food processing plant in Bastar, Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh is home to a significant share of the tribal population of India and a lot of them are unemployed. The plant will employ up to 200 of the local tribal population.

Moreover, we are onboarding every farmer in the state to align with our ‘Farms-to-homes’ concept which will mean us procuring raw materials directly from the farmers so as to be able to give them the market rate. This will assure them security from the constant worry of market fluctuations and also the sale of the product.

We will process the products in our factory to increase the shelf life of the products which will then be sold in the domestic and international markets, increasing the return value to the farmers.

This move by the Kossher Group is just the stepping stone of a much bigger objective pillared around exploring this beautiful and untouched part of the country and commercially boosting the immense, untapped potential the state holds in many sectors. Government has offered us full support in helping settle the local issues like NOC etc.
